ARCHITECT

NEXUS is looking for a highly motivated Architect or Sr. Architect. This is an opportunity to lead a team and work on projects that impact our communities in a collaborative environment committed to technical quality and growth. We are looking for someone with experience in project management, spec writing, and construction administration, a detailed understanding of waterproofing, air barrier, and roofing systems, and familiarity with REVIT.
 
NEXUS is a South Sound Building Envelope Consulting firm that works with Architects, Contractors, and Owners to provide durable, energy-efficient building envelope solutions. We are a growing team of passionate Architects, Engineers, and Building Science Specialists who challenge ourselves to grow in our skills and value a work/life balance. We are seeking an experienced Building Envelope Architect to add value to our growing Tacoma office.


Responsibilities Include: 

  • Managing project schedule, scope, and fee to ensure successful projects and satisfied clients;

  • Coordinate field and design teams depending on project needs;

  • Manage client relationships, including basic BD efforts;

  • Produce construction documents (drawings and specifications) for permit, bidding, and construction of re-clad and re-roof projects;

  • Produce building envelope details and division 07 specifications for new construction projects as a consultant to outside Architects;

  • Oversee projects through all phases of design and construction; and

  • Attend site meetings, perform inspections of waterproofing systems, and address CA tasks such as submittal review and answering RFIs.
