NEXUS focuses on the investigation, remediation of deficiencies, and failures in the built environment. We incorporate a working knowledge of proven thermal, air, and moisture barrier techniques into the forensic evaluation of the building envelope. Utilizing the latest forensic investigation methods and equipment, our building science experts provide insight into hidden or unforeseen conditions, potentially eliminating unnecessary repairs and construction schedule delays, and help identify overall cost savings, improve occupant comfort, and reduce building maintenance costs over the lifetime of the building.
Our certified thermographers utilize infrared (IR) thermography to identify sources of air leakage, water intrusion, and thermal performance of wall, roof, and floor assemblies. Infrared thermography has proven to be a priceless tool in evaluating the performance of building envelopes new and old.
NEXUS is again on the leading edge of the building envelope industry with the use of small unmanned air systems (sUAS), commonly referred to as drones. Utilizing the most current infrared thermography image specifically designed for drone use coupled with our customizable drone platforms, we can provide roof observations, roof safety and access assessments, vertical cladding observations and more from the safety of the ground and without costly man-lifts or dangerous botsun chairs. The image quality is exceptional and, when presented by our certified thermographers, can provide clients exceptional information on the condition of their buildings. This is just an example of the uses for drones we are constantly finding exciting and new uses for these phenomenal machines.
NEXUS provides a complete list of performance testing including roof core sampling, adhesion testing, water absorption and moisture metering, acoustic testing, and verifications of thermal performance.
