PROJECT MANAGER

NEXUS is a South Sound Building Envelope Consulting firm that works with Architects, Contractors, and Owners to provide durable, energy efficient building envelope solutions. We are a small office of Architects and Building Science Specialists who challenge ourselves to grow in our skills and value a work/life balance. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to add to our growing Tacoma office.

Our ideal candidate has: 3-7 years Project Management experience with 3-5 years of professional experience as either an Architect, PE, or RRC; interest in working in the field as well in the office; CxA+BE, BECx, and/or certified IR Thermographer; familiarity with REVIT; flexibility to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently from start to finish, based on project needs. 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Managing project schedule, scope, and fee to ensure successful projects and happy clients

  • Coordinate field and design teams depending on project needs

  • Manage client relationships including basic BD efforts

  • Respond to RFQs and RFPs

  • Oversee design solutions and manage client expectations

  • Attend site meetings and address CA tasks such as submittal review and answering RFIs

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years minimum Project Management experience

  • Public and private sector project experience

  • Interest in marketing and Business Development

  • Dependable, knowledgeable, and reliable, pays high attention to detail and takes the initiative in their work

  • Self-motivated and can manage their time efficiently

  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with clients and team members

 

Additionally (these qualifications are a plus but not required):

  • 3-5 years professional experience in Architectural design, engineering, or construction

  • A basic understanding of how to navigate in REVIT or produce drawings/details

  • Desired certifications: RRO, QAP, CxA+BE, BECx, certified IR Thermographer, certified Air Barrier Tester, FAA-certified sUAS (drone) pilot
